PIENZA & PECORINO CHEESE MAKING

Experience an incredible day exploring the most stunning spots of Southern Tuscany and… making cheese! With your private local guide you will enjoy nature, art, and the most delectable local specialties.

Meet your guide and drive to a family-run dairy nestled in the gorgeous Val d’Orcia landscape. Meet the shepherd, a passionate master cheesemaker, and learn how cheese is made. Your experience starts with a visit to the dairy and the ageing room and then, from raw milk, you will see (and taste) the newborn cheese right before your eyes. Very interesting!

The cheese class ends in a private room with a tasty light lunch: 8 different kinds of cheeses, cold cuts, EVOO, ricotta with honey, fresh mixed salad, and an excellent local Riserva wine. Everything happens in a cozy private setting.

In the afternoon we head to Pienza, a cute Renaissance town and UNESCO World Heritage Site, with stone houses, romantic alleys and blooming balconies. Walking tour of the village and, to finish, a fantastic GELATO — the best of your life!
